📚 Course Overview

The LLB Law program at QMUL is a three-year undergraduate degree that provides a comprehensive understanding of English law. The curriculum combines theoretical study with practical application, preparing students for careers in law, public policy, and academia.

Year 1

📋 Entry Requirements

Academic Qualifications

  • A-levels: A*AA to AAA

    • No specific subjects required, but subjects that develop analytical and writing skills, such as English Literature, History, or Philosophy, are beneficial.

  • International Baccalaureate (IB): 36 points, with 666 at Higher Level

  • Advanced Highers: Offers usually require AAA at Advanced Higher Grade

English Language Proficiency

For non-native English speakers, the following are acceptable:

  • IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 7.0, with at least 6.5 in each component

  • TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 100, with minimum component scores:

    • Listening: 25

    • Reading: 23

    • Speaking: 23

    • Writing: 25

  • Cambridge English Advanced: Overall score of 185, with at least 176 in each component

  • Cambridge English Proficiency: Overall score of 185, with at least 176 in each component

Additional Requirements

  • GCSE/IGCSE English Language: Pass at grade 6 (B)

  • LNAT (National Admissions Test for Law): Required for all applicants. The test assesses reading comprehension and logical reasoning skills.

📝 Admissions Process

UCAS Application

  • Submit a UCAS application by the specified deadline.

  • Include a personal statement detailing your interest in law and relevant experiences.

Written Work

  • Some colleges may require a sample of written work as part of the application process.

Interview

  • QMUL does not conduct interviews for the LLB Law program. All assessments are based on the information provided in the UCAS application.
